Contact Lenses
Riverview Eye Associates offers a wide range of contact lens materials and replacement schedules for patients who want to experience the many advantages of wearing contact lenses. Daily, extended and continuous wear contact lenses are all available. In addition, we offer special contact lens designs for astigmatism, bifocals, cosmetics, sports, etc. We offer the most up to date lens materials including silicone hydrogel known for it’s enhanced breathability and materials for dry eye patients. Sports tints are also available for both the serious and occasional athlete.
Contact Lens Do’s and Dont’s
DO: Always wash your hands before handling your contact lenses
DO: Wash and air dry your contact lens case between uses
DO: Replace your contact lens case every three months or sooner if needed
DO: Follow the directions on your solution bottle EXACTLY for correct cleaning of your contact lenses
DO: Call the office if you have any questions or experience any problems with your contact lenses
DO: See your optometrist once a year for a contact lens and eye examination
DON’T: Wear your lenses longer than recommended
DON’T: Re-use old solution or add solution to previously used solution in your contact lens case
DON’T: Leave a contact lens in if your eye becomes red or painful
DON’T: Wear your contact lenses overnight unless instructed by your eye doctor
